Summary of Privacy Practices: EditraPDF is a 100% offline document utility. Your documents, text overlays, shapes, image insertions, signatures, page deletions, and split/merged files are processed exclusively on your device. They are never uploaded to Bento Apps servers or any third-party cloud. A 3-day free trial is available with zero tracking or surveillance.

2. Device Permissions & How They Are Used

A. Camera Permission (NSCameraUsageDescription / android.permission.CAMERA)

Purpose: Used exclusively when you choose to scan physical paper documents, receipts, or contracts into PDF format.

Handling: Camera frames are converted directly in RAM into a compressed document page. Video feeds are never recorded, streamed, or transmitted over any network.

B. Photo Library Access (NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription / READ_MEDIA_IMAGES)

Purpose: Only accessed when you explicitly choose to import an existing photo or graphic into your PDF document.

Handling: EditraPDF only receives access to the specific images you select via the system photo picker. We have zero access to the remainder of your gallery.

C. Face ID / Touch ID / Biometric (NSFaceIDUsageDescription / USE_BIOMETRIC)

Purpose: Optional feature enabling you to lock confidential PDFs behind your device's biometric authentication.

Handling: Authentication is handled strictly by the OS Secure Enclave / Android Keystore. EditraPDF receives only a cryptographic boolean confirmation (pass/fail) and never touches raw biometric data.

3. Document Processing & 100% Offline Architecture

Unlike legacy cloud PDF services that transmit your sensitive legal documents to remote clusters for processing, EditraPDF executes all PDF editing locally on iOS using native on-device rendering frameworks:

Uses Apple's native PDFKit and CoreGraphics running directly in the local iOS sandbox without internet access.
Features including adding text, shapes, images, electronic signatures, PDF Split, PDF Merge, Page Deletion, and PDF Reorder operate entirely without an internet connection.

Your confidential legal agreements, bank statements, tax forms, and IDs remain private to you.

4. Electronic Signatures & Security

Signatures drawn or imported into EditraPDF are embedded directly into the document's vector streams. If you enable cryptographic signing, certificate hash stamps (SHA-256) are generated locally without contacting any outside authority.

5. Analytics & Crash Diagnostics

EditraPDF does not contain commercial advertising SDKs, Facebook SDK, or data broker libraries. If you opt into standard OS diagnostic sharing with app developers via your Apple ID settings, we receive aggregated, anonymized crash reports (e.g., "Crash on iPadOS 17.2 at line 144"). These reports contain no user identifiers or document contents.

6. Subscriptions & In-App Billing

Purchases of EditraPDF Pro are processed directly through Apple StoreKit. Bento Apps does not handle or store credit card information. Your subscription status is validated using encrypted digital receipts signed by Apple.
